A few years ago, we took our daughter out of public school and put her into a local charter school that utilizes a classical approach to education. It worked great for her at the time and the education she received helped shape her into the young lady she is now. After a time, the work became increasingly difficult for her and she was struggling to pass her classes and losing focus out of frustration. It was then that we decided to homeschool her for the remainder of high school.
She has amazing grades now and is no longer stressing herself out as much, but due to the lack of stimulation of the hustle and bustle of school, she lacks the energy to power through her day. The fact that she chose the comfiest chair in the house to work in and she wears her jammies every day does not help one bit.
Protein is one of the best ways to boost energy, especially in the morning, so I sought out a protein breakfast option for her to start her day. VitaTops MuffinTops are a great option for this very reason since she loves to eat chocolate for breakfast and there are several flavors that include chocolate, such as:
- Deep Chocolate
- Protein Banana Chocolate Chip
- Protein Lovers Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip
There is also some other flavors that she wants to try:
- Wild Blueberry
- Superfood CranBran
I found my VitaTops MuffinTops at Fry’s (Kroger)! You can also find them at Publix, Stop & Shop, Shop-Rite, or Target locations. Just make sure you are looking in the freezer department, I thought I would find them in the bakery, I was mistaken.
I generally feel guilty giving my daughter dessert-like treats for breakfast, I am trying to teach her to take care of her health now to avoid the risks later. I do not worry with VitaTops MuffinTops, they are only 100-150 calories, low-fat, high in fiber, and made with simple ingredients. Each MuffinTop has its own unique health benefits:
This is a product that I approve of to help her get through her senior year next year. Heading to college will be next on the journey, she will need all the energy she can get!
