Lexi is now in her second semester of her Sophomore year, college is quickly looming around the corner. She has taken the PSAT, is looking at many different colleges as potentials and is looking forward to college visits in the future. Between all that, schoolwork and studying and her extra-curricular activities, I have no idea how she has time to sleep sometimes!
Luckily she is pretty organized this year, something that she has struggled with in the past and has worked hard to come up with a system. It was the clubs that made it hard though, considering she is in 6 of them! Keeping track of plays and concerts and competitions was proving to be a bit of a chore.
Then I discovered TeamSnap, an app available as an iOS and an Android, that is used to manage sports teams and realized that it can also be used for other group activities as well.
TeamSnap allows you to store all contact information for team members, their parents, the coaches etc. and makes it simple to send messages to all members regarding practices, games and other events. You can also store photos and files and so much more. My favorite feature of the app is the schedule, especially if you have more than one team to add, because all your events show up in one place to see what you have planned.
And that’s another beautiful thing about TeamSnap, you can add more than one team, so Lexi has Orchestra, Swing Dance, Theater, Women’s Choir and Yearbook Committee. She can keep track of her Orchestra and Choir concerts, Theater performances, Swing competitions and for Yearbook, her and her “team” use it to keep track of when games and other school events are that they need to photograph as well as when other clubs are meeting, also for taking photographs.
This year and for the rest of high school, and maybe even through college, I know that Lexi will be able to manage her very busy schedule because she has the tools and motivation to succeed and TeamSnap plays a big part of that.
Try TeamSnap for free for 21 days to see if it works for your team!
