Welcome to the 2014 Summer Blog Tour!! My dearest bloggy friend, Mary at Living a Sunshine Life, added me to the tour and for that I am very grateful!! Head on over to her blog and read all about her!!
Today, I will be answering a few questions as part of the tour, and then introducing you to a few other amazing bloggers!!
1. What am I working on?
Right now, I am working on many reviews for the rest of the summer, and already planning out my Holiday Gift Guide.
I am also working on putting out more parenting posts, whether it be advice, funny stories about my kids or of course RANTS!
But mostly, I am just getting my kids ready for school again so I can have peace and quiet and lots of blogging time!
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
As a long time reader of blogs, I have learned a lot from others, what to do, what not to do but me….I gotta do things MY way. Not sure how it differs from others, I think a lot of bloggers are very much the same, yet we are different. Different experiences, different voices but we all go through a lot of the same things as far as the “work” goes, which I don’t call work because it’s something that I love to do.
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
Well I started out this blog at a time where I was BORED at home with a 2 year old. I mean sooooo bored. I started reading blogs, A LOT of blogs and most of the ones I came across were DIY and Craft bloggers and I was not crafty in any way shape or form and I felt like I was drowning in a Sea of Crafty Bloggers. Yes, that is the original name of my blog. The Uncreative Mommy in a Sea of Crafty Bloggers. It was my pursuit to try and become more creative. It didn’t work out the way I intended, but all was not lost, I shortened the name and found my voice. I LOVE to share my thoughts and opinions and experiences with everyone. Just ask my husband, I like to talk, A LOT, ALL THE TIME. So this is why I write…..you are all my friends and I do what I do best, talk your ear….eyes?….off!
4. How does your writing/creating process work?
I don’t really have a process, I just get inspired and I write, whatever comes to mind and in the format it flows from my head. Then later, I try to proofread so that it makes sense to you all, but mostly, I just let it flow. Now I do tend to turn to Mary for more personal posts for proof reading as they are harder for me to not only write, but edit. She has been a God send in that aspect.
Now, onto my other dear bloggy friends! They will post their tours on August 3, make sure you are subscribed to their blogs so you can see them.
If you are a blogger, I want to hear your answers to these questions, leave me a comment below telling me why you blog!!
