A couple of weeks ago I sent hubby to the store to pick up what we needed for Tacos and he came home with just enough meat but way more tortillas and cheese than we needed. Then the next day we had Stir Fry and he bought way too much meat and I made the mistake of not making enough rice.
So the next day I was looking around for something to have for lunch and I saw the stir fry meat, tortillas and cheese and thought “What they heck, they have Spaghetti Tacos on iCarly, I can do Stir Fry Tacos”. OH MY!! Stir Fry has always been my fave meal and I love rice but my Stir Fry tacos are to die for. It has now become a family favorite and I made it again tonight and thought, “Hey, my readers may like this”.
So here goes it!
Ingredients will vary upon preference as well as amounts. Keep in mind, I only measure things out when I bake, everything else is tasting as I go along.
Chicken cut up into small cubes
Steak cut up into small cubes
Sweet and Sour Sauce
Garlic Powder (I actually recommend fresh garlic, but I didn’t have any)
Stir Fry Veggies (we didn’t have any this time)
Shredded Cheese (we have used mexican blend before and it works great, tonight we used Colby Jack)
All you do is a little veggie oil in a wok or large skillet to brown the beef. Once the beef is done, cook the chicken. Right before you are ready to combine the two meats, at 2 large pats of butter or margarine to the chicken, then combine meats. While that simmers, combine all the sauces and seasonings to taste, then pour over meat mixture. Serve on warm tortillas with cheese.
I think I will start doing more recipes, what do you think?
