I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carter’s. I received a complimentary gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation.
Something you don’t know about Gavin is that he loves clothes. He loves to dress up nicely and always be “in style”. He’s been this way since he was little, always preferring button ups and polo shirts to tees and slacks to jeans. Although, if he can dress tees and jeans up, he is game to wear them.
I have always shopped at Carter’s for his clothes because they have great separates to put together for great outfits, but they only had up to size 7 and I have been dreading him growing out of his current wardrobe. But it is happening, he is in the middle of another growth spurt, it was time to buy new clothes, especially for back to school. I was a little sad, not just because of the size 8 dilemma, but also, my baby is growing up too fast.
Then, something amazing happened, Carter’s started carrying size 8 clothing and oh yes, one more year (if he doesn’t grow too much more) as a Carter’s kid and one more year that I can hold on to my sweet baby. Don’t ask me why I associate shopping at Carter’s with him being little, maybe it’s the nostalgia of shopping there since he was a baby!
So, we went shopping for a few key outfits, some great, sporty separates and I have to say, he did a great job at putting together these outfits. He is a regular mini GQ little man! The first outfit had to include his favorite color…camo and had a camping theme because that is his favorite activity to do with his grandpa!
The second outfit, I helped him with because I saw the little varsity jacket and I could not resist! He wants to join soccer this year and no matter what, he will always be my little MVP, so the shirt fit the theme too! Do they give varsity jackets for soccer?
The last one, for now, is his normal style outfit, slacks, and a button up, although, I threw in a fun football themed tee as well. Doesn’t he look like a little quarterback, ready to get the ball at the line if scrimmage?
Gavin loves his new clothes and I love that they are so colorful and modern, but with a vintage feel to them. Now, they just need to keep expanding their sizes as Gavin grows up because I am not looking forward to shopping somewhere we can’t find great coordinates! You can do it Carter’s!!
