I received Orchid Origami Paper as compensation for this post, however all opinions are my own. There may also be affiliate links in the post.
Remember back when we were kids and we were experts at folding paper into intricate designs? You know what I am talking about, the notes we passed to our friends with little tabs that instructed them to pull? Oh how I miss those days! I made stars, frogs, triangles and so many more that I cannot even remember. Oh and how could we forget the cooty catchers that we used to dare our friends to do crazy things!
While my daughter doesn’t fully understand the art of folded notes between friends, she has made many cooty catchers over the years and a few cranes here and there. Recently though, she has been having fun with the pack of origami papers that we received from Orchid. She has made an owl that I thought was super cute, yet before I could photograph it, she tore it up saying it wasn’t good enough! Well, I guess she just needs more practice.
I however am having a great time with making heart bookmarks that I plan to surprise her with when she gets home today. She is a huge reader….always with a book in her hands…..but she just uses scraps of papers to mark her places. I think heart shaped bookmarks are better and they come from my heart…pun intended!
Watch the video below to learn how you too can make a heart bookmark, but don’t forget to pick up a pack of Orchid Origami paper, you get 500 sheets of 10 different colors. They are so bright and vibrant too!
