On April 6th, my darling little angel turned into a dreaded, full of attitude teenager! OK, so I am sort of kidding, she is still my angel and always will be but yes, she has tons of attitude and yes, she is now officially a teenager, the big 1 3!
Her big present for her birthday was a whole room makeover where she chooses the colors and what goes on the walls. Since we can’t paint in our rental home, she is only allowed to put up pictures, posters and other items such as wall decals.
In one corner, by the head of her bed, she did a collage type of thing with pictures, drawings, ticket stubs, and other memories all stapled in. The other walls are all getting wall shelves for her nick knacks, but there was one wall that was completely bare and she didn’t know what to put up there.
Luckily I had already had that figured out, one of her presents was a wall sticker from My Wonderful Walls. I chose the Serenity Blossom Dahlia Flower Wall Sticker because of it’s simplicity and elegance and definitely compliments her room.

I wanted to take a picture of her whole bedroom but she asked me not to, besides there are pictures of her friends on the wall and we want to respect their privacy. But I will tell you this, her room is definitely more grown up than it was before and she is happy because there is barely any pink left in her room!
I also forgot to take a before picture, but since it is only one big sticker at 36″X36″, you can imagine how bare that wall was before. Also, I really wanted to take a picture of dear hubby putting it up but darn him, he did it before I had a chance to grab the camera. I asked him to take it down so I could take a picture but he very assertively declined. *Sigh* I don’t think I will ever get many pictures of him on here. But I swear to you that he does exist!
Now onto what you really want to know about the wall sticker. First of all I am in love with it for many reasons, but the big one is that it doesn’t have a slick and shiny surface like many stickers, this one is actually a Fabric Wall Sticker and to me that is much nicer than say vinyl.
The sticker was super easy to install as well, although I still had to use hubby because of how high we wanted it on the wall and my short stature was not going to work, but it was simply peel and stick. I was amazed at how very little bubbling occurred, maybe 3 max and it was done.
Also, there has been no upturned edges at all, it is securely in place and like their website says, “No white edges – looks like it is painted on the wall!” it truly does look painted.
Now, if only I can get my son to STOP being so destructive to his walls, because they have some really great Kids Wall Decals, like the super hero stickers and dinosaur stickers that he would love, but alas, he is a terror when it comes to walls. From crayons to markers and heck he even goes as far as to peel the paint.
Speaking of paint, My Wonderful Walls is actually different than other wall decal sites, they also have stencils for those that want to paint the murals and have them be more permanent. My favorite part of this is that you can either choose to buy the coordinating paint kit, or if you LOVE the design but aren’t thrilled with the colors, you can get your own and make it more personal.
They also carry canvas art which I would have loved to get for my girl, but most of them girl ones are VERY girly and VERY pink, 2 things that she is NOT. At least anymore, but I tell you, a few years ago, she would have been in love with all of the girl canvas art pieces.
The only request that I have for them is to carry more family friendly or adult themed items, because I want to be able to decorate the rest of my house with their stickers as opposed to have to “gasp” shop elsewhere. That being said, My Wonderful Walls is now my go to store for wall decor.
